Terms of service

The agreement between your restaurant and Restro. Written to be read rather than skipped.

Last updated 29 July 2026

01Who this is between

These terms are between Restro and the business that opens a Restro account. Whoever accepts them confirms they are allowed to enter into an agreement on that business’s behalf.

Throughout these terms, "users" means the people who work at your restaurant and sign in to Restro. "Customers" means the diners who order from you.

02What we provide

Restro is software delivered over the internet: a dashboard, an ordering website, a mobile app, a point of sale, and the interfaces that connect them. What is included depends on the plan you are on, and the plan limits are published on our pricing page.

We may change how features work, and we may add or retire them. If a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.

03What you are responsible for

You are responsible for what happens in your account.

  • Keeping sign-in credentials secure and removing access for people who leave
  • The accuracy of your menu, prices, tax rates, allergen and nutrition information
  • Meeting the food safety, licensing, employment and consumer law that applies where you trade
  • The lawfulness of what you upload, including images and any customer data you import
  • Any marketing you send through Restro, and the consent behind it

04Your data belongs to you

Your menu, orders, customers, stock and reports remain yours. We process them to run the service for you, and to protect the service against abuse. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to advertise to your customers.

You can export your data at any time, on any plan. If your account closes, you may export for thirty days before we begin deleting.

05Payments and payouts

Money your customers pay you moves through the payment provider you connect, not through us. Their terms and their fees apply to that money, and any dispute or chargeback is settled between you and them.

We record refunds in Restro and, where your provider supports it, pass the refund on. Where it does not, the refund is recorded and you move the money yourself.

06Billing

Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.

If a payment fails, your subscription becomes past due and keeps working for a grace period before access is restricted. Your data is not deleted because a payment failed.

07Mobile apps

Where your plan includes a mobile app, we build and submit it under your brand. You must hold the Apple and Google developer accounts in your own business name, because both stores require it.

Neither store guarantees approval, and neither do we. Where a store rejects a submission for a reason we can fix, we will fix it and resubmit.

08Availability

We aim to keep Restro available at all times and publish incidents on our status page. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside peak service hours wherever possible and announced in advance.

We do not promise uninterrupted service. Where an interruption is our fault and material, tell us and we will discuss a credit.

09Ending the agreement

You may cancel a monthly plan at any time from your settings, effective at the end of the current period. Annual plans run to the end of the term you paid for.

We may suspend or end an account that is being used unlawfully, that is being used to abuse the service or other users, or that remains unpaid after the grace period. Except where the law requires immediate action, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

10Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced at least thirty days before they take effect, and continuing to use Restro after that date means you accept them.
