Granary Row took a third of its sales back off the delivery apps
Four grills, four price lists that never matched, and a commission bill nobody had ever added up.

Two delivery apps, a tablet each, a printed menu six months out of date, and one person retyping orders into the register.
Four menus that were supposed to be one
Every delivery app held its own copy of the menu, so a price change downtown reached the north location about a week later, if at all.
In Restro, prices sit on the location rather than the dish. One menu, four price lists underneath it, one edit to change any of them.
Making their own channel worth using
Their site went live on their own web address in two weeks. The app followed a month later, which is where it really shifted — a lock screen is the one place you can reach a regular without paying somebody for the privilege.
They kept the delivery apps. The point was never to leave them, only to stop depending on them.
One line at the pass
App, website and counter orders now land on the same screen in the order they arrived. The kitchen stopped choosing between tablets.
The person who used to retype orders runs the floor on Fridays instead.
“We weren’t losing money on food. We were losing it on the twenty-eight percent, and it never showed up as a line anywhere. Now it does, right next to the orders that cost us nothing.”
